Red 5 Studios launches new developer and gamer non-profit, League For Gamer,in protest of Anti-Industry Legislation.
Red 5 Studios™ today announced the League For Gamers (LFG), an organization with the lifelong mission of promoting games in a positive way, spreading the passion of gaming and protecting gaming interests in politics. Red 5 will shut down Firefall and its website on January 18th in a 24 hour show of solidarity, encouraging gamers, developers and all industry supporters to join LFG and stand together against misguided and overbearing legislative initiatives such as SOPA, (Stop Online Privacy Act), and PIPA, (Protect IP), in order to perpetuate and continue industry growth.

CD Projekt RED put across their views on piracy in an open letter to the industry.
In early December, an article was published about a law firm acting on behalf of CD Projekt RED, contacting individuals who had downloaded The Witcher 2 illegally and seeking financial compensation for copyright infringement. The news about our decision to combat piracy directly, instead of with DRM, spread quickly and with it came a number of concerns from the community. Repeatedly, gamers just like you have said that our methods might wrongly accuse people who have never violated our copyright and expressed serious concern about our actions.

Minecraft version 1.1 is now officially out! Including the updates mentioned above, 1.1 has added the following features:
Bow Enchantments
Golden Apple recipe
New language translations.
Slightly smoothed color transitions between biomes
Reduced brewing time to 20 seconds
Added spawn eggs to creative (the colors of the eggs even look like the mobs)
Added world type options (currently only super-flat and default)
Removed collision box from ladders
Sheep eat grass and regain their wool
